Concepts to know before doing the drill:
- Basic Catching and Throwing
- Cutting (in and deep cut)
- Different positions in offense
Drill Focus:
Set-up:
- 3 players: 1 handler + 2 cutters
- Cones: Cutters start 15–20 meters away from the handler.
- Handler starts with the disc.

Drill-Flow:
- Cutter 1 runs in toward the handler (in-cut).
- Handler throws to Cutter 1 (pass 1).
- After throwing, handler immediately follows his pass to receive a short dump pass back from Cutter 1 (pass 2).
- Upon dumping, Cutter 1 turns and cuts deep.
- Simultaneously, Cutter 2 turns back toward the handler for an in-cut.
- The cycle continues across the field.
- After crossing the field, one cutter rotates to the handler position.
Coaching Points:
- Encourage longer cuts and longer throws to avoid short, inefficient patterns.
- Handlers must not run straight at the in-cutter; instead, they should angle wide to make the dump pass float across at least 4 meters horizontally.
- The dump pass should be safe, floaty, and give the handler time to catch and re-attack.
- Emphasize continuous motion—the flow should not stop after the dump.
